CPM®
The especially important matter for the Polish IREM® Chapter is the CPM®- Certified Property Manager® title. It is held by quite a large and still increasing number of property managers over the world. Being CPM® brings prestige and is an additional asset on the property management market, that is why requirements for a candidate to get the title are so hard to fulfill - he or she not only needs the theoretical knowledge, which is provided on the courses organized by IREM® Poland, but it is also very important that he or she has a long-term practical experience in property management. The topics and range of courses are wide and change along with the changing market conditions. The courses are often taught by members of the IREM® US and provide an unique chance of getting some knowledge about the American property management market and about the solutions used behind the ocean.
It is also worth mentioning that one of the reasons of founding the CPM® title (which took place in 1938) was the necessity of creating high professional standards in property management. Thanks to wide knowledge and long-term experience CPM® can maximally use and extend the property’s profitability potential.
Last, but not least, thing to be mentioned as a good reason for making an effort to obtain the CPM® title is the increasing number of property owners who pay attention to and appreciate this prestigious title.
Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) is able to:
guarantee a long- term experience in the property management domain | more
guarantee the interpersonal communication skills | more
clearly define the goals and pursue them | more
become and stay successful in the market competition | more
find the best solutions for complicated problems | more
manage different types of operations | more
uphold the highest ethical standards | less
Of course, for those who entrust CPM®s with the responsible task of managing their property, not only the skills of the manager, but also his fairness is extremely important. CPM®s have to act in accordance with the rules of the Institute’s Code of Professional Ethics, which applies to all of IREM® members. To follow them means to carefully and attentively manage the client’s property. Breaking the rules of the code results in expelling the person from the Institute and depriving him or her of the CPM® title. The trust between every CPM® and his client is a priority for our organization.
