IREM® - Institute of Real Estate Management was founded in 1993 in USA. From the very beginning its main goal was to create professional and ethical standards in property management and train high-level professionals.
In 1938 the Institute established the rules of acquiring the CPM® - Certified Property Manager title and decided that the title would be available only for individuals, not companies. That is how IREM® became a institute and professional association in which only members can participate. The CPM® title is now considered one of the most prestigeous distinctions, a guarantee that its holder has the highest professional and ethical qualifications, proper knowledge and considerable experience.
